YOGA FOR ANXIETY WORKSHOP
Saturday 6th February 2016 1-3pm

This 2hour Anxiety Workshop offers practical tools, breath-exercises, meditation techniques,
relaxation practices, plus a group discussion on the experience of anxiety and how it can be understood.

The main thing to recognise here is that while Anxiety is considered a mental 'illness',
it is better described as a learned behaviour. As such, it can be unlearned - and the great thing about Yoga here
is that there are tools specifically and exactly designed to enable this unlearning. They just need
to be integrated into one's life on a regular basis - in the same way a person would take medication everyday.

Toby has had years of experience with Meditation and Yoga - giving him a comprehensive knowledge of the nature of Mind.
The key therapeutic tool for Anxiety is the Breath - a Golden Key. Once one opens up the breathing
the experience of anxiety must change - for it is directly linked to the breath.

It's all about creating new habits - and by using the body one can release the mind of its habitual tendencies.
That's why Yoga is such a perfect therapy (if done in a gentle and 'non-push' way).
This session will give a palpable sense of what it means to feel properly relaxed, to slow the body down, the mind, and to release tension.

All participants will be given to take home with them Toby's therapeutic DVD "Yoga for Anxiety":
This 45 minute session reinforces the new habits of deep calm, smooth relaxed breathing, and an open body.
It takes one step-by-step away from anxiety, into deep relaxation.
Once a person practices these tools regularly the body and mind MUST change.

This workshop and DVD go together - Relax the body to relax the mind.
Release tension from the body to release tension from the mind.
Improve one's breathing to feel better and more comfortable.

How our body feels will directly affect how our mind and emotions feel.
Look after the body, take time with it and for it, and see the mind being moulded into a new way of being.

Try not to eat at least 1hr previous to starting.
