The essential yogic practice - the root of all yoga knowledge and health - is to learn to breathe skilfully, slowly, and deeply.
We will explore this practice, and some more elaborate variations, in this deeply relaxing workshop.
Breath-work has the potential to cure illnesses, release anxiety and depression, decrease stress, increase vitality, and to develop greater mindfulness/self-awareness.
We just need to take the time to STOP, and breathe better. And further, the next step is to develop better, deeper, more spacious breathing.
Many people still think Yoga is all about stretching. That's a beginner mindset. Once a person discovers what they can open up with the breath,
they discover a whole new level of experience. The effects on our physical health are obvious... but the next level, is to see the mental benefits.
The world of breath-training (Pranayama) can open everything up in one's life. It will relax the body first, then the mind calms,
but then the mind begins to open. When this occurs, one's life begins to change. It takes time. It's worth taking this time.
This session suits all levels, Beginner to Advanced. With the breath, we always start again every time, anew.
